Qualifications of directors
In plain English: The articles of incorporation or bylaws may set qualifications a person must meet to serve as a director. Unless those documents say so, a director does not have to live in Arizona or even be a member of the association. For homeowners, this means eligibility to sit on the board depends on what the association's own governing documents require.
10-3802. Qualifications of directors
The articles of incorporation or bylaws may prescribe qualifications for directors. A director need not be a resident of this state or a member of the corporation unless the articles of incorporation or bylaws so prescribe.
