A.R.S. § 33-1214

Condominiums

Description of units

Condominiums · Text verified 2026-07-25

In plain English: A unit can be legally described simply by naming the condominium, the recording information for the declaration, the county, and the unit's identifying number. That short description is legally enough to cover the unit and everything that goes with it. This makes it easier to buy, sell, and transfer a unit without a lengthy metes-and-bounds description.

33-1214. Description of units

A description of a unit which sets forth the name of the condominium, the recording data for the declaration, the county or counties in which the condominium is located and the identifying number of the unit is a sufficient legal description of that unit and all common elements, rights, obligations and interests appurtenant to that unit.
